'I'm going to marry him, Mum. At least, I am if I have anything to do with it.' But Jake Lombardi turned out to have rather different ideas. He didn't want Laura's daughter, Julie. He wanted Laura. Or so he claimed. But how could any man prefer a middle-aged teacher with no experience of life in the fast lane when he could have her glamorous daughter? Whatever game Jake was playing Laura had no intention of falling for it.
