Jewelene

By Claudette Williams

The Marquis of Lyndhurst was tired of women who were more attracted to his title and money than to his charms. So when he went to the Isle of Wight (at his mother's insistence) to court another eligible woman, he decided on a little deception. His cousin Robby would pose as the Marquis. And the Marquis himself would simply be Keith, a rake and a gambler. If a woman fell in love with him, it would be for himself. Only then would he reveal his true identity. What the Marquis didn't expect, however, was someone like Jewelene. Lovely and curvaceous, intelligent and headstrong. And he didn't know she was involved in a masquerade of her own, posing as Babette, the French card dealer in a gambling hall.
