Carne expected her to just meekly agree "What about me? Don't I have any say in the matter?" Lesley's eyes flashed indignantly. After all, Came had ignored his wife and child for three years. Why should he be interested in them now? Lesley only knew that if Came gained custody of Jeremy and took him back to Ravensdale, the Radleys would turn the boy against her.
