Unexpected delivery

By Cathy Marie Hake

Ben Hawthorne thought Wendy Marbury was just responding to an advertisement for a cook. But when Wendy hands over seven-month-old Troy to his bachelor uncle in Caribou Crossing, Alaska, Ben is appalled to discover the woman came north not to fill plates, but a cradle. This is either a nightmare or a very bad joke. To Wendy's consternation and amusement, Ben is completely inept with Troy. Fireworks develop over the two adults' division of labor, while sparks of attraction confuse things further. This unexpected delivery is upsetting both Wendy's and Ben's plans for their lives. Which of them should keep Troy? Or should they both keep him and each other? Could God be moving in mysterious ways to create a family?
